Currently there are five different groups within the Ruoholahti setting. Each group has its own supervisor and a set of key teachers, who work regularly with the children in that group. Upon starting at the nursery, every child is assigned a key teacher. The key teacher of the child invites the primary carers for a settling in discussion, closer to the date of starting care. The key teacher is also responsible for conducting parent – teacher discussions, atleast once every term. These discussions help us achieve the objective of working in partnership with a child’s parents and other primay carecaregivers.
